The Forks Web's ownership is unashamedly pro-American,
confessing the Lord Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, believing and practicing the traditional Judeo/Christian ethic. These convictions control our business. Therefore we welcome religious and cultural
diversity, but if honesty and integrity are not THE RULES by which you conduct your life, you will be uncomfortable in doing business with us.

| So what is this page about? |
| It is about my faith. I am a Christian. |
| I walked most of my life in
darkness, it wasn't until the year 2000 that I found and accepted Jesus
Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. Since that day my life has been
totally changed I will never be the same nor do I wish to be. I feel
complete for the first time in my life, I now have hope and a future. During
the the first 45 years of my life I tried many things and traveled many
roads, but nothing brought me what I wanted. Jesus Christ is the Way the Truth and the Life. |
| Are you nuts putting this on a business site? |
| This is who I am. If I lose business because someone doesn't want to deal with me because I am a Christian I understand. |
| Are you going to send religious material to me, send my name/address to a religious organization or in any way attempt to convert me or speak to me about your faith? |
| I won't attempt to do anything to you beyond what you seek out and request from this page. I may post scripture quotes or nuggets of wisdom at times on my website. The fastest way to turn people away from God is to shove a bible down their throats - Jesus didn't do this so I won't do it. |
| Wow, your different from what I expect from religions. |
| Jesus' life was one of compassion and helping people. I try to follow the pattern Jesus laid down in regards to actions with other people. Jesus loved everyone He came in contact with - even those He may have admonished. When Jesus was asked what is the greatest of the commandments, He laid out two new laws, 'Love the Lord your God more than anything else' and 'Love your neighbor as yourself'. That is how a religion that is Christian should operate, with the love for people as Jesus commanded. |
| So, do you have to be perfect when you're a Christian? |
| Hardly. Anyone who says they are without sin or is perfect is wrong. Everyone fails to be perfect simply because we are human. I am far from perfect. Anyone can be a Christian and, if Christianity is pursued, the fruit of the journey is a better life. A sign of spiritual maturity is the ability to better control the sinful urges within one's self and to Love Unconditionally. |
| Great, what is your point? |
| One of the teachings of Jesus was to spread the word and that is what this is for. |
| Does it cost anything? |
|
No. Jesus is free. Eventually, with spiritual
maturity, you'll want to give to further the works of God. That is why
finding the right church is so important. The proper investment of the tithe
to a church following the teachings of Jesus and that teaches thru the whole bible will only
bring more blessings! Many people think of blessings as $$$$$$$ I do not. |
| Do Christians live worry free lives because they tithe or are part of the faith? |
| We all know that isn't true. We also know bad things happen to good people through no fault of their own. However, the community around a good church makes many of the harsh realities of life easier to bear. |
| What does being 'saved' mean? |
| Ah, an easy one :) - being saved is accepting the
journey of your faith by asking Jesus into your life as your personal
savior. That's it. Check out Romans 10:9-10 or Acts 2:21, 16:30-31 for
scripture on this. America Bless God |
